A last day, hour by hour
| Time | What to do |
|---|---|
| Morning | Check-out, bags at the hotel or in storage, coffee and a pastel de nata |
| Late morning | Last walk: Ribeira, Dom Luís I bridge, a one-hour tuk-tuk to see the hills without climbing them |
| Noon | Lunch near the Bolhão, souvenirs, pick up your bags |
| Early afternoon | Transfer or metro to the airport |
Luggage
Many hotels keep suitcases free of charge after check-out: ask when you book. Otherwise, station lockers and drop-off apps are covered in luggage storage in Porto. Keep a small bag with passport, charger and a warm layer, even in summer.
Souvenirs and the airport
Tinned fish, azulejos, soaps, port wine: pack liquids in checked luggage, since security limits bottles in cabin bags; see souvenirs from Portugal. To reach the airport, compare metro, taxi and private transfer in from the airport to the centre. A guided tuk-tuk in the morning, or a sunset walk the evening before (viewpoints), replaces a tiring day of sightseeing.
