The price of a tour is shown for your chosen date on the booking page; the pages we saw displayed amounts in US dollars, not converted here. Our page gives a range of €49 to €75 per person for this kind of day, based on guides and agencies rather than an official tariff: check the total when you book.

The full-day tour with boat trip, tasting and lunch
This is the classic format: leave Porto in the morning, drive to Peso da Régua and Pinhão, have lunch, take a cruise on the Douro and taste port and Douro wines. The listing states a duration of 7 to 10 hours, possible pick-up and free cancellation up to 24 hours before. It suits you if you have no car and want to do everything in one day without organising each step. Its drawback is that of every large tour: a big group and a set pace.
The small group
The small-group tour combines wine and a cruise with fewer people. Some listings cap the group at 8 people; check the size stated on the page. It is a better choice if you want to ask the guide questions and linger at an estate; compare the price with the classic tour.
Two estates and a chef's lunch
The two estates, lunch and boat option is for those who come mainly for the wine: you visit two producers rather than one. Plan not to drive if you taste, and eat accordingly: the tastings add up.
The half day
The half day with cruise and lunch lasts about 7 hours from Porto, with a single estate. It is the option for a short stay, but you will see less of the landscape: a good part of the day is spent on the road.
The train, for freedom
The CP line links Porto São Bento to Pinhão in about 2 h 20 to 2 h 30, with 5 or 6 trains a day; the one-way fare is €15 to €17 depending on the source. The last train back leaves around 18:00. The advantage: the ride along the river is the best part of the day. The drawback: you must book estate visits and lunch separately. Confirm timetables and running before you go, as works closed the line between Porto and Régua from November 2025 to March 2026.
