| Tap in Portugal | Drinkable in most regions | Several guides; 98.95% quality according to ERSAR as quoted by one site |

| Public toilets | Fees not found | Use cafés, restaurants, stations |
Can you drink tap water in Porto? Yes. Fill a bottle at your hotel or flat, unless a local notice says otherwise.
Refilling your bottle
- At your accommodation: the tap is enough.
- In the street: use a fountain only if "água potável" is shown; common sense applies to very old fountains.
- After heavy rain or if the water tastes or looks unusual: use bottled water and ask your host.
Toilets
Stations, shopping centres, museums and cafés have toilets; on trains and coaches, some travellers report a lack of soap or water, so keep gel and tissues. I found no list of pay toilets in Porto: if you see a ticket booth, you will need coins (not verified). See also transport in Porto.
