Private transfer with Welcome Pickups. You book in advance at a fixed price, an English-speaking driver waits in arrivals with a sign, and the flight is tracked so the driver waits if you land late. Example seen on their site on 30 October 2026: a sedan for up to 4 people to the city centre from €26. If you travel alone, by day and with a light bag, the cheaper public option described on this page is usually better; the private transfer is worth it for a night arrival, a family, heavy luggage or a first visit.
When to book a private transfer
For four people the private transfer comes to about 6 EUR each against 2.30 EUR by metro. The real gain is comfort: pick-up at the exit, price fixed in advance, exact address, child seat possible depending on the offer. Book it for an arrival after 11 pm (the metro stops around 1 am) or for a hotel far from a station.
Our pick
Solo or couple, daytime: metro. Family, group or late arrival: private transfer (see the offer below). Routes and timetables are in the guide airport to centre, and for the rest of your stay see getting around Porto.
