São Bento or Campanhã?
For Lisbon, Coimbra and fast trains, Campanhã is the departure station; São Bento serves the centre and urban trains. The guide Porto stations explains which station to use for each journey. Sleeping at Campanhã is handy for an early train, but the area is less lively than the centre; see hotels in Baixa and Aliados and where to stay in Porto.
Noise and luggage
A courtyard-side room is quieter near a station. To drop bags before check-in, see luggage storage.
