Porto Bishop's Palace: visit, opening hours and ticket (2026)
The Bishop's Palace of Porto (Paço Episcopal) can be visited Monday to Saturday, in winter 9:00-13:30 and 14:00-17:30, with a later closing in summer (until 18:00); it is closed on Sundays. It stands right next to the cathedral, on the Terreiro da Sé. We found no published price for the palace itself (the cathedral ticket is about 3 €, to be confirmed): email or call the diocese before you go.
Highlights

The palace overlooks the Douro from the Sé hill; the monumental baroque staircase is the highlight of the visit (by Nicolau Nasoni, to be checked on site).
The state rooms
The bishops' reception rooms, visited with a guide from the diocese.
The view
From the Terreiro da Sé terrace, a view over the Ribeira rooftops and Gaia, steps from the cathedral.
