Should you take the hop-on hop-off in Porto?
- Yes if you have little time or find the slopes hard to walk: it reaches Foz, Boavista and the Gaia bank effortlessly.
- No if you stay in the Ribeira and the Baixa, which are very compact: the Porto Card and walking are enough.
- Alternatives: the tram and metro for getting around, the six bridges cruise for the bridges, the tuk-tuk or guided tour for commentary.
Tips
Start first thing to avoid the queue, get off at Foz for the sunset (sunset in Porto) and keep the 48 h ticket only if you combine bus and cruise. For the full itinerary, see Porto in 3 days.
