How to choose
- View: the Yeatman rooftop is the most cited; Foz offers the sea and a quiet area.
- Area: the centre is the most convenient on foot; Gaia is 10-15 minutes from the Ribeira over the Dom Luís I bridge. See where to stay in Porto and where to stay in Vila Nova de Gaia.
- Season: an outdoor pool is best enjoyed from June to September; the water of an unheated pool stays cool. Out of season, look for an indoor pool.
- Access: some hotels reserve the pool for guests, with limited hours; check them.
