World of Discoveries Porto: tickets, opening hours and visiting with children
World of Discoveries is a theme-park museum on the Portuguese Age of Discovery, on the Douro in the Miragaia district (Rua de Miragaia 106). In 1 hr 30 to 2 hrs you walk through life-size sets and a covered boat ride, with an audio guide: a choice for families, especially in the rain. According to the Visit Porto tourism website, admission is 16 € for an adult, 10 € for a child aged 4 to 12 and 13 € for seniors (over 65) and students; free up to age 3. One reseller shows lower prices (about 12.75 € for an adult): confirm the price on the museum's official site before buying. Open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 6pm, and weekends and public holidays 10am to 7pm.
