What to do in April
Terraces reopen and the days allow you to combine everything: monuments in the morning (Clérigos, cathedral), the Crystal Palace gardens or the Foz in the afternoon, then sunset at the Jardim do Morro. The six bridges cruise goes back to later departures. For a day out of the city, the Douro Valley is green and the roads are quiet. A surf lesson in Matosinhos is possible, the water being cold: wetsuit provided.
